    This table

    Players
    You and two computer opponents.
    Hand
13 cards for each seat still in the pool.
    Deck
Two 52-card decks and 4 printed jokers. This table has no wild joker.
    Scoring
Each hand adds its full penalty to the pool total. Pool 101 ends a seat at 101. Pool 201 ends a seat at 201.

    Understand the Table

    1. Closed Deck. Draw one face-down card from this pile.
    2. Open Discard Pile. Draw the face-up top card, or place your discard here.
    3. Your Hand. The face-up cards in front of You.
    4. Opponents. Arjun and Priya show card backs. Their card faces stay hidden.
    5. Pool 101 and Pool 201. Pool 101 is the starting game. Pool 201 starts only when you confirm a new pool. The limit does not change in the middle of a pool.

    How a Turn Works

    1. Draw one card from the Closed Deck or the Open Discard Pile.
    2. Arrange cards into sequences and sets.
    3. Discard one card onto the Open Discard Pile.
    4. Keep a pure sequence, then a second sequence, before treating other groups as finished.
    5. Declare only when all 13 cards are grouped, with at least two sequences and one of them pure. That hand’s full penalty is then added to the pool total.

    See Valid Card Groups

These three groups are examples of legal melds on this table. Each one is only the group, not a full 13-card hand.

    Pure sequence

Same suit, in order, with no joker.

    • 5♥
    • 6♥
    • 7♥

    Impure sequence

Same suit, with one printed joker filling a missing rank.

    • 4♠
    • 5♠
    • JK

    Set

Same rank, different suits, no repeated suit.

    • 8♠
    • 8♥
    • 8♦

    Pool Scoring

One hand uses the same card values as the Points practice table: Ace is 10, 2 through 9 use the printed value, and 10, Jack, Queen and King are 10 each. A printed joker is 0. Cards in a counted group score 0. This pool adds the hand’s full penalty. It does not use the Points table’s 80 cap, and it does not keep a practice-point balance.

What this pool adds after a hand.
Hand result Added to the pool total
    Full penalty of 103 103, not 80
Pool 101 total of 100 Still in
Pool 101 total of 101 Out. The seat stays, but later hands skip it.
Pool 201 200 is still in. 201 is out.

If only one seat remains, that seat wins. If every seat still in the hand crosses the limit together, the lowest total wins. Equal lowest totals win together. Penalty points are not cash.

    Quick Strategy

    • Finish one pure sequence before chasing other groups.
    • Notice which cards leave the Open Discard Pile.
    • After each hand, see how far your total is from 101 or 201.
    • Check every group before you declare.

More practice habits are on Rummy Strategy. They do not promise a win.

    FAQ

Is this Pool Rummy table a cash game?

No. This is a local practice table. It shows cumulative penalty points only. There is no cash, no wallet, and no online multiplayer.

When does a player leave a Pool 101 or Pool 201 game?

A seat leaves when its cumulative penalty reaches 101 in Pool 101, or 201 in Pool 201. A total of 100 or 200 is still in. The seat stays on the table and does not receive later hands.

Who wins if every remaining player crosses the limit on the same hand?

The lowest cumulative total after that hand wins. If two or more seats share that lowest total, they win together.
